About Me

General stuff: I like techno, trance, rave, dance, movie themes, some rock, some alternative, oldies and classical music(Baroque, Classical, Romantic Periods). Rap I could do without. Weird Al Yankovich is probably my favorite single pop artist. I was also a BSA of Troop 15 and have my Eagle Scout rank. June of 2000, I graduated from Louisville High School with a 3.22 GPA. Currently I'm attending the University of Akron. I'm also playing the trumpet in UA's Marching Band and working on my major of Computer Science. Fall of 2001 my name was listed under the University of Akron's Dean's List. For those who care, I am conservatived minded. My brother has a webpage, which can be found here.

Dorm Life: The University's Ethernet (T1 connections) are a blessing from God! Click here for some pics of my dorm room.

Computer History: I have been using computers since I was six years old.  It all began when my father bought a Commodore 64 (My father is a teacher at a local technical school. He used the C= 64's in the classroom, thought it was a good idea to buy one and have one to use at home too.) He showed me some of the edutainment games on it. One of them was a really neat game called 'Fraction Fever.' (The C= 64 version looked better than the Coleco version.) Over the next few years, I eventually became bored with playing my current games and started to design my own games and programs in BASIC.  I was even able to mimic the some of the games on the console systems in my own programming projects. When I was 15, I was given a C=128 by a computer programmer, I knew at church. At this time I started learning 65XX Assembly on it. When I was 16(1997), I was given a 286 computer from church. I was quick to adapt to the new machine and mastered the system in about two months knowing the ins and outs of DOS, Win3.1x and x86 system architecture. About a half a year later, I built myself a Cyrix 200mhz machine from parts. My current system is a an 800Mhz Duron, 512 MB PC133, 20 GB Maxtor 66MB/s hard drive running Windows 98 SE.Click here for a 'short' list of computer I currently own.

Current Projects: Currently I'm programming a platform style 2d side scroller which will deploy as a 'Wario World' game for the x86 PC using DirectX6.1 SDK. (More info on this will be posted at a later time on SnowStorm page.) I also have been programming a dos character-based GUI and a database. Not to forget to mention an RPG and a system optimization utility.

Daily Rant: Optimization is a still needed for computers today, though this has been greatly dismissed in recent times. The hardware industry has the rest of the industry in its steel grip. Its a pitty the consumer will ultimately lose in the long run. The only way to see and feel any perscribed speed is to buy new hardware and to simply run old software. This may sound strange to some, but if you think about it you can eventually figure it out. Remember, when people have to buy a new computer every two years, it makes think a lot more on pirating software. They have already spent a continuous amount of money on hardware alone which does nothing without software.
